A little about your teacher..

Hello students and parents of my 4th grade class! My name is Ms. Kerns. I'm so excited to be starting this year with you and trying out this classroom blog. First I would like you all to get to know me a little better.

Family:
I have a very large family, who I love very much! My pride and joy is my beautiful 3 year old daughter, Aria. I have two younger sisters and a little brother.

Pets:
I have a pet turtle, his name is Franklin. He's 10 years old.

Hobbies:
I love baking! I have a sweet tooth, so I satisfy it by baking many different goodies.
I also love to read books. My favorite are mystery/suspense novels.

Education:
I graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology.
I'm now attending National University in order to receive my Multiple Subject Credential and Master's Degree.

Class Overview

Hello class, and welcome to your very own 4th grade classroom blog! This is going to be something new for you and me. It is something that I'm very excited about and I hope you are as well! This year we will be having a hybrid class. This means that although we will meet in the classroom, there will also be discussions and assignments online through this blog. It is my hope that we will have a great year and learn in the classroom and online. Make sure you all get some practice with the blog. Look around, try posting onto the blog, anything to get you familiar with this. I will be sending a letter out the first day of class for your parents. This blog is not just for you and I, this is for your parents to be apart of too.

Supplies you will need:

• A three-ring binder
• At least 3 notebooks
• Blue/black ink pens
• No. 2 pencils
• Binder dividers
• 2 different color highlighters
• A ruler
